Mahaska County Historical Society Membership

Mahaska County Historical Society, Inc., operates Nelson Pioneer Farm & Museum. Membership in the Society is available on an individual or family basis, in annual terms or for a lifetime.

Family membership includes all minor children living in the home. A lifetime family membership will include the married couple for the lifetime, and any minor children either born or adopted to that family.

Members in good standing receive free admission to Nelson Pioneer Farm during regular hours and receive a quarterly newsletters with information about Nelson Pioneer Farm and the Society. Free admission for members is included for our annual Pioneer Fall Festival, though some other special events held during the year are excluded.

A membership meeting and pot luck dinner is held quarterly: on the third Monday evening of the months of February, May, August and November.
